Professor Li Zhe, is the Chair of the Piano Department in Shenyang Conservatory of Music. She earned a Doctor of Musical Arts from Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester.  She got ‘Outstanding tutor for Graduates’ awarded by Shenyang education working committee, ‘Outstanding tutor for Undergraduates’ awarded by Liaoning province education working committee, ‘Leading talents’ Award in Philosophy and Social sciences fields by the Organization Department of Liaoning Provincial Party Committee, ‘Innovative Talents’ award in colleges and universities filed in Liaoning Province, a chief member of the Chinese Musicians Association and Liaoning province’s ‘May1’ Labour medal winner.

Dr. Li graduated from Shenyang Conservatory of Music in 1993. After one year of teaching, Dr. Li went to the U.S. for further study and studied successively with such distinguished artists as Jośe Feghali, Krassimira Jordan, and Fernando Laires and earned the Artist Diploma in Piano at Texas Christian University, in Texas. She also earned a Master of Music in Piano Performance at Baylor University in Texas, and a Piano Certificate and Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and Literature at Eastman School of Music. In 1989, Dr. Li published her book ‘LI ZHE’s New Collection of Popular Piano Music’ and a music tape under same name. In the same year, she got the 2nd prize of Baylor Piano Concerto competition and 4th prize of Washington International Piano Competition. In 2015, Dr. Li was nominated as a candidate of High-end Talents of Liaoning Province. In September of the same year, Dr. Li released her solo album, with the help of China Record Company, Shanghai Branch. In march 2018, she got the Special Contribution Award of the ‘My Home is in the Northeast’ International Art Festival by the Shenyang Publicity Department of the Municipal Party Committee. In the same year, she won the Outstanding Tutor Award in the first Lonisch International Piano Competition in Germany. In 2019, she won the "Excellent Instructor Award of Professional Group" of the Irmler International Piano Competition in Germany. In 2020, she won the "2020 Advanced Individual for Colleges and Universities in Shenyang". In 2021, she won the "Outstanding Piano Tutor Award" in the 7th German Irmler (Qingdao) International Piano Open; In 2021, she was awarded Excellent Instructor Award in the 9th "Cardanza" China National Youth Chinese Music Piano Competition .

Dr. Li enjoys a dynamic performing and teaching career that has taken her to international destinations in the U.S., Austria, Italy and South Korea as well as to Russia,performing dozens of solo recitals, master classes and workshop in Beijing concert hall, Austria-Vienna Golden Hall in Musikverein, Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory etc. She also performed piano concertos many great orchestra such as Baylor Symphony Orchestra of Texas, OAKRIDE Symphony Orchestra of Tennessee, Tchaikovsky Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, etc. Dr. Li has also been invited to serve as a judge for many piano competitions both at home and in the Asian-Pacific Region. She has been engaged in teaching music and cultivated many outstanding pianist for top universities all over the world. Dr. Li was the first pianist performing ’Yellow River Piano Concerto’ in the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory. She has written a number of articles published in core journals at the CSSCI and provincial level and has undertaken several research projects at the provincial level.
